Bangkok Flooding Eases, but Major Roads Remain Waterlogged

Bangkok flooding is gradually easing, with 46 of 81 affected locations returning to normal by 8:00 AM. However, 35 points across 13 districts remained inundated. Severe flooding continued on major roads in Bang Kapi, Lat Phrao, Min Buri and eastern Bangkok as pumping operations continued citywide throughout the morning Sunday.

Current Situation: Continuous rainfall from 25–28 September caused flooding at 81 locations. By 8:00 AM Sunday, 46 locations had returned to normal, while 35 remained flooded across 13 districts. Severely Affected Roads as of 10:00 AM: - Ramkhamhaeng: Rama IX Road to Lam Sali intersection - Srinagarindra: Lam Sali to Pattanakarn - Nawamin: Prasert-Manukitch to Bang Kapi intersection - Lat Phrao: Pradit Manutham, Happy Land and Bang Kapi intersections - Suwinthawong: Min Buri to Wat Saen Suk - Seri Thai: Si Burapha to Lat Phrao - Phahonyothin: Kasetsart University to Royal Forest Department - Ngam Wong Wan: Chin Khet and Klong Prem Prison areas - Rom Klao Road around Soi 24 - Bangkok Kreetha Road - Nak Kila Laem Thong Road - Several communities across eastern Bangkok Persistent floodwater continues to disrupt travel, businesses and residential communities, particularly across Bang Kapi, Lat Phrao, Min Buri, Prawet and eastern Bangkok.

Authorities will continue pumping water and lowering levels in Bangkok’s principal canals. Conditions should improve if no further heavy rainfall occurs, but motorists should monitor live updates and avoid deeply flooded routes.
