Scientists have identified a new class of exoplanet after studying L 98-59 d, a sulphur-rich world located 35 light-years from Earth. The planet appears covered by a vast molten magma ocean and a thick atmosphere, challenging existing planet classifications and expanding understanding of planetary diversity.
