Indian Airport Operator Secures $1 Billion for Major Expansion

Adani Airport Holdings will raise $1 billion from Temasek, BlackRock, Alpha Wave Global and Premji Invest, valuing the operator near $18 billion before investment. The capital will modernise eight airports, expand commercial infrastructure and passenger services, and support a planned increase in handling capacity from 120 million to 200 million annually.
The international investment supports airport modernisation and additional capacity as India’s aviation market expands. The company’s airports currently handle approximately 25% of national passenger traffic and 33% of air cargo.
Adani Airport Holdings plans to expand its airports, develop surrounding commercial facilities and increase passenger capacity to approximately 200 million annually over five years.
